City Color Cosmetics "Be Matte Gems Lipstick- Onyx"
I was sent 6 lipsticks to review from City Color Cosmetics. This is an up and coming cosmetics company... I'm sure you have seen their products all over Instagram. They are known for their high quality affordable products. When a brand sends me anything to review that doesn't make or break my review of the product because I am always for HONEST REVIEWS. Out of the 6 lipsticks that I received, the one that stood out the most was "ONYX" from their Be Matte Gems collection so that was the one I decided to swatch. I love black lipstick and I also love a true MATTE lipstick which is very hard to find because most lipstick brands that promote "matte" aren't true to matte all the time. Most times they are either creamy or satin. When I applied ONYX, I was in super shock *like hold up wait a friggen minute shocked =O* this was the first true matte black lipstick I've ever tried. I have MAC Cosmetics' "haute couture" and boy was I upset because it isn't really a true matte, it's more of a satiny finish. Onyx is only $4.99 with a better quality than high end lipsticks that are quadriple the price *yeah I said it, shooooo*. ONYX lasted ALL DAY. I put it on around noon and I got back home around 9pm without having to retouch and that is amazeballs! This is def a must buy, make sure you get 2 or 3!!! There's nothing I like more than high quality, low priced makeup! I felt like I got my money worth & I didn't even pay for it haha.
