Pastel Lips! Makeup Monsters Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks
I stumbled across this brand on Instagram a while back when the liquid lipstick craze was fairly new to me. I was crazy about them and any brand that made them I snagged them, no matter how much they were *oohhh she got moneyyyyy lol*. Every time Makeup Monsters Cosmetics added new lipsticks, they would sell out quickly. I let months go by and when I started to see so many swatches and reviews and the business started booming I decided to jump on it. That's when the owner decided to do a leave because she was giving birth soon to her new baby girl *i admit, i was happy about the baby who doesn't love babies but i wanted he darn lipstickssss FML*. I patiently waited for the restock date and I was on the website as soon as they restocked and ordered these 4 lippies.
Out of all the liquid lipsticks I've tried, these were the easiest to remove, 1 swipe with a makeup wipe or even a damp paper towel and bam it was off.. that was my biggest like! The packaging is sooo cute that was my 2nd like *i'm a sucker for cute packaging* They dried pretty quickly and were easy to apply to the lips and they are also buildable. The only color that gave me drama was CHERIMOYA it's a really pale pink and the pigment is kinda streaky so I had to apply it with a lip brush 1st for best results then go over it with the wand that it comes with. The other colors are super pigmented and the formula is perfect! PURP-ETRATE is a pastel lavender with blue hues. I love this color because it looks different dependending on the lighting. It sometimes show up more bluish in pictures, it's my favorite out of the 4. HALE STORM is a pastel baby blue. I thought it would look weird with my complexion but boy was I wrong! It looked so cool and I received lots of compliments for wearing such a bright, bold color! *step out the box boos*. Last but not least, BACKLASH is a teal blue, not pastel but it's very bright, bright enough to scare some women away *not me i am no makeup punk, balling my fists up haha*. This color was also very pigmented & for those who are scared of going straight to pastel, this is def a bold lip that can be used as a platform for bright colored lippies. These lipsticks are very affordable and you get lots of product! Support small businesses :)
