Sleek Makeup "Matte Me" Liquid Lipstick Review
A very sweet doll from the UK sent me 6 Matte Me liquid lipsticks. She & I are both makep junkies & she sent them to me out of the kindness of her heart as a thank you for me allowing her to order makeup only available in the US to send to my house so I can ship them to her in the UK. Along with her package, I bought her some other makeup exclusive to the US as well as some cute sunnies I thought would look cute on her. Anywho, just wanted to let you guys know the reason for her sending them. I had been eyeballing this brand for a while so I was super stoked on receiving these as a gift!
On to the review *finally lol* She sent me PETAL, BIRTHDAY SUIT, PARTY PINK, RIOJA RED BRINK PINK & FANDANGO PURPLE. The 1st one I tried on was BIRTHDAY SUIT, it's my fav color so I just had to try this one 1st. The formula goes on easy but when it actually dries on the lips, it dries very thin & chalky... it feels like its watered down. The finish reminds me of a water color paint after it dries on paper. Don't get me wrong, I totally love this color & am VERY appreciative of my gifts but people were asking me for my review & I like to be completely honest. I thought it was just BIRTHDAY SUIT that was giving me these results so I decided to try BRINK PINK. Before applying, I put on a moisturizing lip primer first. After applying BRINK PINK & allowing it to dry, I received the same results. I even tried applying 3 more coats, it dried chalky & after 10minutes, it decided to crack on the lips. These liquid lipsticks have a different formula from all the other brands. The colors are so bright & bold but they won't last on the lips long because it is so uncomfortable on the lips & way too drying. I still will be rocking my lippies but I will have to try & tweak the formula so that it's comfortable on my lips & last longer than 10minutes.
