Melt Cosmetics "NOOD Collection" Review + Swatches
Omgee I've been waiting on this collection for months! I feel like they led us on for too long I was starting to believe these weren't even going to come out and as the time passed my anticipation decreased & I was starting to feel BLAHHHH about these since they took so long to release. When these finally released, I purchased the whole collection, I knew that SEXT would be too light but the makeup junkie in me bought them all. On to the review... My top faves are CATSUIT and LACED & next is NOOD. My least favorite is SEXT of course but it didn't look as bad as I thought it would on my lips. Lemme start by saying the formula is completely different than the other Melt lipsticks I have. I have By Starlight, Darling & Space Cake & they're all RETRO MATTE. That's what made Melt Cosmetics stand out to me, their ultra matte formula. These new lippies aren't as matte, they're more of a creamy matte finish. I admit, I was kinda upset they changed the formula because I was expecting it to be Retro Matte. CATSUIT, LACED & NOOD have the same creamy matte formula & I can say they are really pigmented but SEXT is completely different. I can compare SEXT to a crayon based lipstick. The formula isn't really pigmented as the others and it's a bit waxy like a lipstick made from a crayon. I highly doubt I would ever wear SEXY again, if I do, it'll def be just for mixing.
