Estee Lauder Double Wear Review + Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24hr Foundation Comparison|Review

Okay where do I start *takes a deep breath & rolls my eyes*

Soooo.. A couple months ago I was seeking a new foundation because my holy grail foundation (make up forever HD) has been discontinued for a new formula. I did some research & read so many reviews & the top foundation that grabbed my interest was Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24 hour foundation. I put up a post on my Instagram page & many people were saying they love this foundation & some people were saying to also try Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation. I went & bought the Lancôme one & I loved it! Like, really loved it! For my whole face all I needed was a pea sized amount... LITERALLY! The only con was that it oxidizes so I needed to switch it out for a shade or 2 lighter. It works perfectly with a flat top buffing brush & it gave me a flawless finish.. NOW BACK TO DOUBLE WEAR... Okay, so I wanted to also try the Estée Lauder Double Wear since everyone was raving about it & it wouldn't hurt to have 2 holy grail foundations.. I read reviews, watched so many YouTube videos & I was convinced that I had to try it based on the feedback I've been receiving. I ordered it online & the moment I received it, I decided to try it right away. Now first off all, there is no pump, it's a pour out foundation which I don't like because that results in product waste. 2nd, I didn't like the consistency of the foundation it was really thin & runny so I knew right there it wasn't gonna work for me. I like more of a creamier/thicker consistency because that works well w my skin especially from my experience with other foundations. As I do with any liquid foundation, I poured a pea sized amount on the back of my hand & warmed it up w my buffing brush & applied it to my face in circular, patting motions(if that makes any sense) & it looked horrible. *i was totally disgusted* The application wasn't even, you can see the strokes & bristle prints on my skin & not to mention, I needed more than a pea sized amount.. The more I applied, the worst it looked, my face looked greasy & uneven & the formula was so thin I had to keep adding layers. That was def a no no.. As many foundations that I've tried, I never need a lot, I use no bigger than a dime sized amount of product but this was def not the case with this foundation. I had to go over my face with a beauty blender to even out the application. After doing my whole face (my contour/highlight/lipstick..the whole shebang), it looked alright =/ but I can see the difference from using this foundation vs my normal routine..& it's crazy because I sometimes use Black Radiance liquid foundation & that $5.99 drug store foundation is a better quality than the Double Wear *in MY opinion* Anywho.. The only pros are that it does not transfer & it does stay on all day as promised but I never have to retouch any of my foundations, they always last because I use a primer & setting spray so I'm always cool in that department. I was not satisfied w the Double Wear foundation but I wanted to give it a couple more tries before I give a review so I used it for the rest of the week & nothing changed, same results. I was so upset because there is a BIG HYPE on this foundation. So many raves but it just didn't work for me. I don't have troubled skin, I have combination skin: Normal to dry face w an oily T-Zone but the when 1st applying the foundation it made my face look patchy like I had breakouts underneath. I will be returning this foundation *thank god & woohoo to more Lancome lol* because it didn't work for me. I bought the correct shade in the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24hour makeup foundation & that works best for me. It's an easy application, I don't have to do much or tweak it. It lasts long because I only need a pea sized amount & the coverage is perfect. It lasts all day, no need to touch up & it doesn't transfer. On really hot days, I set it w my MUFE pro finish powder so if it is any transfer it's def from the powder.
